Timberline cancels its Homecoming football game against Kuna

Timberline High School has canceled its Homecoming football game against Kuna and postponed several Homecoming activities as Boise Police investigate concerning social media posts involving students.
The investigation began after screenshots circulated online that reportedly showed sexually explicit and violent messages directed toward a female Timberline student.
School officials confirmed Timberline will forfeit Thursday’s football game against Kuna, citing concerns for student and staff safety.
The Boise School District said it is cooperating with law enforcement as the investigation continues.
Principal Chad Wright acknowledged the disappointment surrounding the decision but said heightened emotions and threats of violence made postponing activities the responsible choice.
One major question now remains for Timberline’s football program: Will the remainder of the season be canceled? At this time, no announcement has been made regarding the status of Timberline’s remaining games.
